The Bottega di Stigliano is an innovative shop that dedicates itself to high quality food and agriculture: not only somewhere you can purchase products from local farmers and enjoy “0km” dishes, but also a laboratory of ideas promoting continual positive relationships around food, high quality agriculture, crafts, health, and the preservation of biodiversity.

The Bottega di Stigliano was established as a pilot activity of the European MED Rururbal project and is included in the Province of Siena’s scheme to create a local agro-food system within the ambit of the Terre di Siena Filiera Corta network.

It developed thanks to the commitment of those companies and public organisations that continue believing in the project, eventually resulting in the constitution of a Temporary Purpose Association involving more than 20 companies.

The project has never stopped growing: the TPA is deeply involved in a path of continual improvement foreseeing research and development initiatives and projects that aim to gradually extend the network to new companies, universities, research centres, public organisations and citizens.

“Eat local today for a sustainable tomorrow” this is the phrase that best describes the Bottega di Stigliano, from the moment of its foundation until today, also explaining its title of Integrated Supply Chain Project (ISCP) funded by the PSR Region of Tuscany (2016-2017) which promotes the development of strategies aimed at strengthening the provincial network of high quality farmers, organising and stimulating production, supplying public and private catering and contributing to the growth of more aware consumers.
